Life Skills – जीवन कौशल

Life skills (जीवन कौशल) are abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable our youngsters to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life (दैनिक जीवन की चुनौतियों से निपटने के लिए). They are a set of human skills acquired via teaching or direct experience (शिक्षण या अनुभव के माध्यम से) that are used to handle problems and questions commonly encountered in daily human life.

Dr. Jitendra Nagpal is a Life Skills Coach (लाइफ स्किल्स कोच). He is a developmental trainer in youth wellbeing and soft skills for schools, colleges and corporate sectors.

Q1: Campus me apne aap ko alag mahsoos karti hoon (मैं अक्सर campus में अलग महसूस करती हूँ)

Self-confidence (आत्मविश्वास) is indeed desirable in maintaining good mental health and wellbeing. Start with assessing your strengths (मजबूतियों) and weaknesses (कमजोरियों). Voice your opinions, be assertive, set boundaries, and spend more time with positive people. Aim for accomplishments rather than perfection and remember, inner critic ko ignore karein (आत्म आलोचना को नजरअंदाज करें).

Q2: Beti Delhi college ke liye ja rahi hai (बेटी दिल्ली में कॉलेज के लिए जा रही है)

College ka transition (कॉलेज में बदलाव) is exciting but challenging. Encourage your daughter to develop support systems, trust herself and others, and interact with classmates. Explain ki change hi life ka constant hai (बदलाव जीवन का स्थायी हिस्सा है). Agar zarurat ho, professional counseling (व्यावसायिक परामर्श) le sakte hain.

Q3: College ke admission mein disappointment (कॉलेज में असंतोष)

Life hamesha fair nahi hoti. Accept reality, focus on hard work, set small achievable goals, aur apni self-image improve karein (आत्म-छवि). Opportunities ko grab karein, positive logon ke saath rahein, aur zarurat pade to counsellor se help lein (सलाहकार).
